If all was quiet last week then this week must have been completely silent.
I have to admit I'm rather gutted at the fact that I've not got a lot done. A few things have been happening recently that have caused me to resign myself creatively.
I really want to complete all the books I'm currently reading as I have three of them and they've been sitting in various stages of unread for months now and it's annoying me. Plus there's other books I want to start reading as well and I just can't justify having anymore half-read books on my shelf. So this is unfortunately affecting the writing of my own book!
I did, however, start a new piece of art over the weekend. The idea is based on a dream I had over 10 years ago. It's stayed with me all this time because I've always wanted to create a piece of art about it. The trouble is it's quite complex and I've never even tried to make it because I've always known in the back of my mind that it's probably too ambitious for me and the stock currently available is restrictive to what I need. But this weekend I thought I'd give it a try, so that's a work in progress.
I'm also in the middle of a TV show, Dark Matter. I know that as soon as I finish it I'm going to want to make a poster of it, so I'm also saving myself for that. If you get a chance definitely check Dark Matter out, it's a brilliant Sci-fi show!
In the remainder of whatever spare time I have left I help run a Janet Jackson fan site across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and Monday signalled the 30 day mark before Janet kicks of her latest tour, State of the World. To mark the occasion I'm spearheading a feature across all social media platforms celebrating the various milestones and records Janet has broken in relation to her stellar stage shows in the form of a 30 day countdown. As you can imagine this takes a lot of time and effort to pull off which leaves little time for anything else.
On top of all that a job opportunity has came up in my current work place that would be a step up from what I'm currently doing, so while I don't have much confidence in getting it, I'm trying to prepare for interviews etc. all the same.
Perhaps I will actually have some proper news for you all soon!
