As another year comes to a close I thought I would update everyone on the status of various things I have going on.
As shown in my previous posting I created quite a few artworks over the past months. I started another one last week, hoping to finish it before 2018 ended. I haven’t touched it since so it will just have to be relegated to being my first artwork of 2019.
I unfortunately have no real updates on my next novel, due to the fact I haven’t continued writing it since the summer. I will endeavour to get the first draft finished before the first half of 2019 is finished (famous last words). I can reveal some details about the book.
For anyone too lazy to click above all I’ll say is the title is Fire Burner. Once I get more of the first draft written I’ll begin updating the Books page on the site.
Another reason (aside from my slight shift to artwork this year) as to why I haven’t written much of Fire Burner is because I have been getting back into reading, something I have been neglecting to do in cycles depending on where I was with writing any one particular book.
I just finished a book In the Bleak Midwinter by Liam O’Shiel. It is the second book in a 5-book saga (the first book is titled Eirelan) and it’s set 2000 years in the future in a time when all of modern life (as we know it) has been wiped out, the surviving people now live in what would be most recognisable as the middle ages of the past. The saga is set predominately in Ireland and follows a family of warriors and their friends as they battle through the trials of life on the island. Both books are brilliant and quick reads, regardless of their 600+ page counts and I’m awful sad the third isn’t out yet!
*I’m not being paid to promote these books I just think they’re really brilliant and deserve to be read by many people*
That’s really all for this year. I hope you have a Happy New Year as much as I hope I find a brilliant new book to read!
